Information on the 10(j) and 4(d) Rules:
Experimental Population 10(j) and Take Exemption 4(d) Rules.
If you are wondering what the rules may look like, here are two
10(j) rules that NMFS Southwest Region is looking at for sample
language.
Both of these documents have been published in the Federal
Register. They contain language for a non-essential experimental
population designation and language for take exemption coverage for
the experimental population.
