UNITED STATES TUNA CANNERY RECEIPTS
January - December 2000 and Comparison

Quantities are gross unloading weights reported by United States tuna packers for the period shown.  United States tuna packers include three companies operating six canneries located in American Samoa, California, and Puerto Rico.  The Other * tuna category may include receipts of Yellowfin, Bigeye, Bluefin, and Longtail tuna.   Quantities are reported in short tons and may not agree due to rounding.

Conversion to round weight uses factors of 1.11 for gilled and gutted;
1.25 for dressed; 1.3 for headless; and 2.25 for loins.
