EEO Advisory Committee Minutes Southwest Region Minutes: December 3, 2003 Attendees: Tim Price, Jessica Kondel, Rosemary Troian, Rich Wantuck and Maura Moody. Maria Harris was also present. Absent: Todd Buchholz, Rosalie del Rosario, Eleanor Domalaog, Pat Erdenberger, Carlos Garza, Marty Golden. Chairman Tim Price called the meeting to order at 1:10 pm. Although we did not have a quorum, we understood that another member was on their way to the meeting so we went ahead thinking that a quorum was going to be achieved. Tim reported that of the 4,000 potential sites for the list server, 951 envelopes had been returned to the Region because of outdated addresses. Someone will contact Lewis Van Fossen and see if he entered his list. The good point was that 303 locations have subscribed to the List Server. Maria will check with WASC to see why vacancies have not been coming across the List Server. Tim announced that John Clancy will be attending a career day at Humbolt State University either today or tomorrow. Lewis von Fossen was contacted and he did not enter the listserver addresses. Rosalie is going to divide up the list and give it to other committee members so that the addresses can be answered. Maria, Marty and Tim met on the IDP training materials. Marty has worked extremely hard on these materials and they are almost ready for presentation. When presented, the first hour or so will be for all employees, including supervisors. After a break, the supervisors will stay in attendance to learn the part that they will play in advising their employees. There will be an initial practice meeting, followed by a meeting originating at Long Beach, which will be disseminated to the rest of the Region. Then Tim and Marty may come to La Jolla and give the training with Santa Cruz and Pacific Grove hooked up by video. Next Meeting: Our next meeting will be Sept. 3 at 1:00p.m. Members should continue to hold the first Wed. of each month free so they can attend the meetings. The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m. (??) |
