EEO Advisory Committee Minutes

Southwest Region

Minutes: June 2, 2004

Attendees: Tim Price, Nancy Fisher, Stephanie Johnson, Jessica Kondel, Jeremy Russin, Laura Tezer, Rosemary Troian and Stephanie Hall (Advisor). Absent: Brian Cluer, Eleanor Domalaog.

Chairman Tim Price opened the meeting at 1:05 p.m.

Rick Rogers is going to replace to replace Todd Buchholtz on the EEOAC. Rick left the Long Beach office about a year ago and transferred to Arcata. He works on Secion 7 projects.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

The minutes of the May meeting were approved.

OFFICERS' REPORTS

Tim reported that the IDP (Individual Development Planning) training was completed at both the Center and the Region. There was good attendance at both meetings and many people interested in the handouts.

SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS

Program: The subcommittee did not meet in May, but Rosemary Troian, Laura Tezer, Brian Cluer and Rick Wantuck plan to meet on Monday, June 7 at 10:00. Troian will send out call in information.

Administration: The administration subcommittee will meet on either June 24 or 25

Personnel: The personnel subcommittee did not meet.

Tim will send out a list of the subcommittee assignments.

Old Business: Tim Price discussed IDP Training follow up actions. Someone will have to take the frequently asked questions and answers and put them on the Web site. Tim will send an e-mail to all employees reminding them of the existence of the EEOAC, a brief mission statement of the EEOAC and the availability of the IDP on the Website. People who have trouble accessing the Website can request hard copies.

People will be reminded on a 6 month basis about the existence of IDPs.

At the next meeting, we will review the evaluations which were submitted. The video recording of the Long Beach training will be made available to all labs and locations.

Tim will also send an e-mail to the committee listing the workplans which have been submitted in the past.

New Business:

There was no new business.

Announcements:

Stephanie Johnson announced that she is moving to Arcata to go back to school. We shall miss her on the committee. Stephanie assured the committee that there are others in the Santa Cruz office who are interested in being on the committee.

Next Meeting:

Our next meeting will be July 7 at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
